The Mud Hens went undefeated to capture the Triple Crown Series Spring Championship at Big League Dreams in Gilbert, Arizona. The Mud Hens only gave up a total of 4 runs (2 earned) and 9 hits in 5 games while outscoring their opponents 53-4. With this Championship the Mud Hens secured a berth in the Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and the Fall Nationals in Henderson, NV.

"We've been practicing very hard and scrimmaging teams for the last 6 weeks in preparation of this tournament and the boys could have not performed any better" says Manager Ted Schuman. The pitching for the Mud Hens was simply flawless walking only 3 batters in 5 games. Plus, the offense averaged over 10 runs per game as the Hens run ruled 4 of the 5 teams they played. The only game that went the distance was the Championship Game against the Blaze which ended 3-1 in favor of the Mud Hens.
